Lisbon is the European capital of innovation.
Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, awarded Lisbon the 2023 iCapital title yesterday in Marseille.
The city attracted over 50 tech companies in the past two years, according to Carlos Moedas, former European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science, and currently the Mayor of Lisbon.
